Overflow is made up of husband/wife team, Cliff and April Duren, along with vocalist, Heather Richardson. Their ministry together started at First Baptist Church Woodstock, GA, where they led worship together on a weekly basis.
As other opportunities came, the trio felt led to embark on their first recording in 2011. 4 projects and several years later, Overflow continues encourage the Church and proclaim the Gospel. On each recording you’ll find an eclectic mix of modern worship, gospel and acapella music. No matter the style, Overflow has their heart set on lifting high the name of Jesus.
Every Overflow event has it’s own unique feel and approach. You may find the group leading worship for a conference or worship service, doing a full concert, or joining together with choirs and orchestras for a worship concert. No matter the occasion, Cliff, April, and Heather are humbled and thrilled for every opportunity to represent Christ minister through music.

Cliff Duren is the Worship Pastor at The Church at Station Hill, a Regional Campus of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN. From 2006-2012, Cliff served as the Staff Arranger at First Baptist Church Woodstock in Woodstock, GA where he led worship for the contemporary service and played piano for the blended service with choir and orchestra.
Cliff arranges, orchestrates, and produces music resources for various publishers while also producing various artist recordings. He is very grateful for this opportunity to fulfill his passion of creating resources for the local church.
Cliff became a Christian at age seventeen and soon after pursued a music education degree from Shorter University in Rome, GA and a masters degree in church music from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Cliff has won two Dove Awards for his contributions to church music ministry resources. In 2014, Cliff released his first instrumental record, “Tune My Heart: Hymns of Worship Featuring Piano and Orchestra. In 2016, he released a follow-up record, “Tune My Heart: Christmas.”
In March of 2002, Cliff married his college sweetheart, April. The Duren’s reside in Spring Hill, TN with their four children; Mac, Sydney, Elijah and Emma Kate.
April Duren has been worshipping the Lord through music for most of her life and began serving in the local church at a very young age. April graduated from Shorter College (Rome, GA) in 2001 with a degree in Music Education and with a husband named Cliff. The two have been leading worship together since they were students at Shorter.
April taught elementary school music for three years. In the following four years, Mac, Sydney, and Emma Kate made their way into the Duren family scene. In June of 2013, the Duren’s welcomed 3 year-old, Elijah into their home and became his legal guardian. In December 2016, Elijah officially became a Duren!
Today, April serves on the worship team and leads a weekly women’s Bible study at The Church at Station Hill. She also sings regularly on recording sessions and leads worship for various conferences and events, in addition to to her role as a mother of 4.
Heather Richardson has been singing for most of her life and at the age of 12 she surrendered to God’s call to minister through music. Heather graduated from Samford University with a BA in Music Education. It was there that God confirmed her calling as she was able to travel and sing with many different Christian singing groups.
Heather currently leads worship and sings at women’s events, conferences, and revivals and also serves on the worship team at First Baptist Church Woodstock, GA. Heather is passionate about sharing her testimony of God’s faithfulness in her life. Her desire is to lead others to authentic worship and to be changed by His presence and power.
Heather and her husband, Scott, live in Woodstock, GA where they are raising their six children, Addie, Olivia, Sophie, Noah, Tiffany & Miriah. With 3 adopted children through the foster care system, God has given the Richardson family a wonderful platform to encourage others to adopt and foster.
Heather’s life verse is II Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” This verse encourages her to remember it is the power of God that is at work in us to glorify His name!
